About us

The Oak Park and River Forest alumnae organization has a long and rich history as a diverse group of fun-loving Kappa women. Our members include recent college graduates to 65-year pin recipients, professionals, and stay-at-home moms. 

Traditionally we meet five times a year: in October for a Founders Day celebration, in December for our Holiday gathering, an Adopt-a-Family "show and tell" and gift wrapping, in February for Kappas Dine Out at one of our great local restaurants, again in the spring for  our "Pass the Hat" fundraiser, and in June for Kappa Q/Brunch. We meet in the homes of our members or sometimes at a local restaurant, and there is always lots of good food, conversation, and fun! All monies raised during our fiscal year are subsequently given away at the end of each year, to the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation and also to a number of local philanthropic organizations.
